Anyone ever use this or attempt to play C&C Red Alret (from the first decade) via LAN. No options to play via LAN in the game menu. Ive heard you can use Hamachi to create a virtual LAN, but I cant get it to work right. I know you have to add the IPX/SPX protocol on both machines to get LAN play to sync up. J/c if anyone has any insight or has tried the same thing.

a friend and i tried using hamatchi for lan play on other games and were never successful, mainly because most games look at the first NIC which is usually the real one, not the one hamachi creates
my and my brother used to play that over a serial connection back in the day.
yea he was telling me that, he was trying to help me the other day at work. I miss playing these older games.
I’ll have to do some experimentation there are some apps to simulate Null Modem over LAN. Or you could just buy a longer serial cable. I’ll screw around with it some this week.
I miss these games. Time to download.
