What is an acceptable valve clearance??
the heads I’m having done have a max clearance of about .590~.595
i’m running 1.6RR roller rockers, and a custom grind cam. the cam ends up at 560ish lift factoring in the RR.
so i would have about .030 valve clearance.
too little??
I thought people usually shoot for around 0.08" intake & 0.10" exhaust. (?)
I would actually check with clay and a checker spring to make sure once the cam is installed.
.030 is too close. ^^^ He’s right, .08 and .10 are more like what you want.

fly cut the pistons on the motor!!! 
nah, i’ll have the valve seats adjusted, or get those +.050 valve locks.
the heads are being worked on as we speak, and he said he’ll take care of it.
you talkin about having .590 max lift on the head, and your running .560? i think that will be fine as long as you have good springs and components. i’ve heard its best to keep clearance around .060" tho
