Is it hard to find a 87 Cabrio tranny?
Wolfsburgh Edition i dunno ifs its a 2.0 or a 1.8? Or if wolfs came with 20 or 18s er whatever… :dunno:
most all 4cyl vw tranny interchange. i’m running a 87-88 cabriolet tranny in my 97. the gear ratios what most of the differences are.
so i take it the 88-87 is a good ratio, that and was it hard to find?
yeah, it was a close ratio… and yeah there fairly easy to find. look to spend 150 or more unless you get real lucky. i think peterock has one… I think!
heres another question for you where could i possible find perforance parts and body parts for em

i don’t know much about older vw’s or any year for that matter, but i think all the wolfburg is was a badge on the side and maybe just little interior things, but i don’t know

i got a tranny sitting in the garage if you need one. also have a 1980s BBS front spoiler, panasport rims, 2.25 inch TT exhaust. and some othere odds and ends if you are interested.
go look at it,its behind King’s super tire!
all cabriolets were built in germany. they were built by karman coach works. the wolfsburg editions are basically a trim package. nothing fancy though really, just a way for vw to slap 2 badges on the car and get more money.
