I was trying to help a friend get some videos on her computer, edited, and burned onto DVDs…except the programs she had to do it were complete crap. Can anyone suggest a program or programs that aren’t crappy and actually give some decent options but don’t cost an arm and a leg?

should work fine for the armature movie maker
windows movie maker should do fine for 99% of the people out there.
