Looking for video editing software that I can convert, compress and even encode files. Besides Pinnacle, what else has anyone used and recommends?

If you want free, and the ability to convert/encode Virtual Dub does it. Otherwise premier is quite good.

I have Pinnacle 10 but for some silly reason it says Vista is not a supported OS. Pinnacles website states otherwise.

Sony Vegas…Tried adobe and windows movie maker and a couple other no names and I wouldn’t go back. Vegas is the shit.
