So its not news, but the new vipers aren’t selling. Dodge did a pretty horrible job on the release plus they could have made the car a little better.

The MSRP bump is marginal over the last version, it’s got more power, and it finally is put together like a premium/luxury production car (and I think it’s the best looking one they’ve produced), what’s not to like?

Well considering the BASE viper is over $100K and a loaded GTS is over $150K I’d be looking at an R8 not a Viper. Is the new one faster, yes but not much. The design is MUCH better then the last gen in my eyes. I think the Gen II is the best looking car and the Gen V definitely has styling cues from it. I dig the new viper, but not a GTS for $155K.

I’d seriously consider one if a new GTS was in the 90K range, 135+ is nuts for a car that you can’t even tune. If you want a tune you have to do a full stand alone.
I’d rather a new viper then a new vette at this point, but a use ZR1 in the 70K range is pretty solid for the money.

I didn’t realize the pricing was so askew. You’re right, that’s pretty insane, if I’m spending that much money I wouldn’t be buying a Viper. I guess the Z06 vs GTS debate is done when you consider price now.
