I was gonna suggest closed caption (as my one TV would make the screen all black on one of the settings) but nothing like that.
Yea CC will make it all black but it wont give you URL or any text at all…

Is there a way to reset the factory settings on that TV, looks like CC only much larger. That is the wierdness. Depending on age, only other thing I can think of is to contact JVC about it, that is some wierd shit. Even then I doubt they could fix it, seeing as other people with other TVs are having that problem.
