Are the mkv’s less prone to BS problems then the mkiv’s? I know basic maintenance is a bit more expensive for the mkv’s filters are more money, etc…

mk5’s do have a some small minor problems… two of my buddies have fully bolted on gti’s and they had ZERO problems…

Yet… we have had a bunch of problems with the new 2.0 fsi motor. Ripping high pressure fuel pumps apart, cam lobes on the end for the pump machine off. We had one the other day that sucked oil into the vac pump and sheared the tensioner gear off the cam.
