Funny thing about that … I almost did that with my civic but I wanted something that looked clean and stock
Personally, I definitely like the sleeper look. Clean and stock looking. The way it ‘should have been’.
Ah poop- I’ve got the fart can. Hey, it was cheap! Hayame catback off ebay. I liked it cause it was the cheapest longitudinal-mounted muffler catback I could find for a crx. Plus I’ve found all new and improved ways of quieting down the usual honda rasp- It’s got a removable resonated tip, that I’ve ‘liberally’ packed silencer-packing in/around/all-over-the-place. Not as ‘buzzy’ as without.
The other thing I’ve done- I had a couple of the super-‘inexpensive’ catbacks from pacesetter- match up the diameter and chop out a chunk on the mid-pipe, clamp/weld/tape/whatever a decent-sized glasspack in the middle. Gives it the same rasp-reducing effect, just more fiberglass further upstream in the exhaust. No, I’ve never actually flow-tested any of that stuff, so yes, it make negatively-affect flow, no idea. But it does quiet things down.
As far as wings/body kits/etc., eh, I can’t even afford to keep decent tires on the car. I’ll gladly shell out 500-600 bucks for tires before I buy anything aesthetic. Then again, if you’ve seen my car, well- let’s just say it could use some tlc on the body.

yeah, if you want less rasp, a resonator is absolutely essential. hey, if you got the muffler for a good deal, theres no harm in that. i just have to chuckle at these guys that go out of they’re way to throw on the fartcan’s purposely. its like they make a mental list, thinking to themselves, “okay, i just got his car, what should my mods be?” hmmmm

thinking about them for my car…but it would most likely be the only mod seeing they are like 2,300 for the K-Series motors for the kit and tune…
