pointless thread.

+1
i love my car for how it looks, and how awesome my interior is. its has a super nice luxury car feel inside, and it sure is fun as hell to auto-x. on the other hand, straight line sucks balls.
+2 and 11.8 is pathetic if you did a motor swap, bigger turbo, and nitrous and that’s all you got.
I’d love to have a VW for a daily, but the cheap E46s with their cool RWD make it hard for me to see good value in most used VWs

very untrue. an e46 will depreciate MUCH faster than a mk4 r32, and you get cool AWD. you can get a mk4 r32 for 23-26 and sell it for close to the same price.
I just sold my 97" vr and I somewhat miss it.For a car that is 10 years old,it had some amazing features/quality for its time.
Unfortunately the previous owners didn’t do shit for maintenance, just oil changes and whatnot.Things were starting to slowly break so I bailed, lol.

From someone who knows what hes talking about. VW’s are gay

I’d love to rock the following VWs:
TDI Jetta
Mid 80s rabbit
Toureg
No, none of them are fast, nor would I claim / intend them to be.
Otherwise, the leghumping in the “general” VDub populus is too much to bare sometimes. That thread was just a clusterfuck of it./

hahah i owned a 1987 rabbit. until a brake line blew…and i didnt know what wtf happend i wants too car intuned at that time…sold it for 200 lol speedometer went to 70mph i think ahaah

there’s so many VW faggots down here in connecticut
i keep making fun of them too. one of the kid painted half his car lime green and shit. god VW drivers are so fucking STUPID
[/quote]
um… why because your crappy tuning you tried to come up with a few years back didn’t work out.
And the fact you tried to build a auto audi with your own custom tuning and work, and the car broke when you did maintance yourself. I would blame that all on you
Ai…VW…
I have such a love hate feeling on them…
I suppose if my dad and I never restored the Beetle, I’d really like VW…but the Beetle itself is entirely different than any type of current VW, so I guess that doesn’t even apply here…
I don’t know, I appreciate their fanbase, but I also find a lot of them to be anoying as shit in a lot of ways.
There are some VW’s that I’d LOVE to own, they have made some incredibly cool cars over the years. But I would never get a VW with hopes of making supercar performance.
VW’s I appreciate:
16V Scirocco’s
Jetta GLI’s (early 90’s)
Rabbit GTi’s (early 90’s)
Corrado’s
MK IV R32’s
See what I mean?
I would love a 2004.5 Jetta GLI for a DD. But only if I bought it new and took care of it myself from new and had a second car so if something took a shit I could deal with it on my own time.
After owning one I will always have a soft spot for MKIV VR6’s because they’re just such nice all around cars, but good God mine was an attention whore.

ew tornado red? lol
i have become a decent mechanic due to vw’s
ive had many good/bad experiences with them. Ive owned 7 and im sure ill own more…
I did my first swap when i was 17, 87 gti, never saw the road due to the frame rotting out but it ran. Deff in over my head on that one
Then i had a bright yellow scirocco 16v that was a blast while it lasted. Attracted way too much attention naturally
My 91 jetta gli vr6 was by far the most awesome car ive owned. I just absolutely loved driving it. I smiled everytime i got in and out. It was nothing special nor quick, it was just fun.
The 91 TD jetta i had for a few weeks, got someone to buy it for 5x’s the amount i paid for it so i sold that fast
The 90 cabriolet that i have now is some-what sold, swapped a fresh 16v in there.
Annndddd my ex-dd 96 jetta, the transmission finally said FU shrives and blew up on the 90 a couple nights ago…
As of right now i think im done with VWs. Im going to pick up a reliable daily to get me through college and its most likely not going to be another vw. In a year or two i would like to pick up a cherry 92 gti 16v in totally stock form and just cruise it for the summers. Other than that im done for a while
^^ truth. i want to go certified pre-owned quattro…
