Or just go to some place that is a shit hole, and give the hardest working guy you see 100K.
Like a constructions site, or a tire place, maybe a car dealership, hell maybe even somewhere like wallmart. I think I would keep like 50K/100K in cash on me at all times, and if I got to talking to a waitress or someone working their balls off for next to nothing I would throw them some bread.
You know the guy who is missing his son’s hockey game so he can put food on the table type of people.
(Even if I did run across a load of money, I think I would still eat at my favorite dive restaurants and live modestly. I have this feeling, almost a need, to try to leave my airs as much as possible, in order to better prepare them for life. Of course I would try to teach my children(If I have any) to live great lives and not spoil them, but when I die I’d like to surprise them with 500 arches of land and a few million dollars.)
I completely agree with you. my grandfather could drive any car he wants, has 2 homes and plenty of money and he drives a 12 year old Jaguar. He refuses to sell it and lives in the same house he lived in 40 years ago. When he needs a demo or something to drive he always tells me no leather and no sunroof because he doesn’t like them, he thinks they are unnecesary. He usually drives a base model trailblazer or equinox as his dd. I love that man, he’s awesome. He started our dealer group with less than $100 and he still carries the receipt for the down payment on the first store we ever bought back in 1967. He’ll even show it to you if you ask. Isn’t that awesome?
i just noticed the guy who owns Mittal steel in 4th. he started as a plant floor cleaner i believe and worked his way up and now owns it. I saw a story about him on tv and was very impressed with they way he got to his position, worked his ass off
