hey guys where is a good place to get the glass on my watch replaced. it real hazey can anyone stear me in the right direction
you have been PMed
The thing with ebay is that it is a worldwide market. Its hard, especially in buffalo, to sell watches in person.
I dont know off the top of my head what that watch would be worth, but i have a pricing book at the shop, i can take a look for you on tuesday if youd like.
Your 265 seems to be in excellent shape and you should have no problem selling it.
My dad’s omega has been over in Switzerland for a couple months getting work done.
I can’t wait to see it done.
Right now I have been looking at an Oris to add to the collection.
for the money, i dont think you can get a better everyday watch than an ORIS F1. you can pick them up for like $450 shipped in mint shape with all the paperwork.
it’s an entry level swiss auto but wears very very well. i prefer it over alot of the Omega’s that are 3-4x the price. It’s got a great motorsports look and feel to it that i prefer well over the Omega seamasters and if you put it next to a Hamilton at a similar price point you can tell very quickly that the Oris is a better piece in virtually every way. I tried on a Hamilton Khaki X-Wind and it felt very plastic. plus you still cant get the X-wind’s under $800 used.
I have a couple pieces on my radar right now. :snky:
Ugh so I had to grab some parts from the dealership this weekend and the manager was wearing a watch that was SO HOT! I went and grabbed my parts and after went looking for him to ask what it was and he had taken off. It was a black faced chrono with white(whatever they are called…the date and stuff). And a great looking black band. Looked leather.
probably something shit if he was working at a dealership…
dude in my office wears a sharp looking chrono… $45 Perry Ellis quartz… kthanxbye
Where can you get a Oris F1 for $450 shipped?
bing, i looked in the book and judging by the picture, its a 15 jewel english military style watch circa 1946. The book says that in extra fine condition its worth ~$500 and in mint condition ~$700. This book is also from 2006 so its just a rough estimate.
what do you think about this or something like it for a everyday watch.
i like the looks of them, what else is nice in that price range
Can someone find me this for a grand?

NEW ORIS WILLIAMS F1 TEAM CHRONOGRAPH MENS WATCH
^
You are unlikely to find one new for that price.
If you are 100% serious let me know as I am about to buy another Oris from World Lux. They have a showroom right near me in Seattle. I am sure if I buy two at once I can get a stellar deal. Give them a call to see what they want for it over the phone. Let me know what they say and if it is even close let me know.

OK I will let you know. I will call them tonight.
What are you looking at?
Yeah I can get the older stuff down to about $600, with live cash back and other deals. But I like the new stuff better.
Isn’t the old addage that you should only buy watches under $250and over $2500, everything in the middle is crappola?
I could be making that up.
I need some new watches.
Quit being lame and buy some then. No clue about the saying but the higher ones seem to have great resale. Most of what I have bought have listed right in the $2k area and I am sure I will lose my ass someday. Luckily for me watches is not how I make my money!
i really like this…thinking about it
The watch retails for 3 grand they want 2,200.
Unauthorized websites sell it for 1,500 - 2,000.
For 1,500 from an authorized dealer I am pulling the tigger, otherwise I would probably sit on the fense for a little longer.
