anyways, i attended a store re-opening, by way of an invite through work, and it was an overhaul of a RAFFI Jewellers in the Conestoga mall in Waterloo… They put was i guess is the largest Rolex room in a store like this outside of the major urban centres of Canada. Over $2M in Rolex’s on hand.
I even got to shake hands and chat with Victor Royce, President and CEO of Rolex Canada. He had a Platinum President on his wrist, $58k retail in Canada.
I’ve been looking on watchnet.com and timezone, I wouldnt mind a used one. I also own a couple of older Longines, an Eterna, Movado juro Sport, Movado tungsten valor and my first major purchase, the Big Bang Black Magic.
I got one that I have worn maybe 10 total times. When I get back Sunday I will give you a model number and price. I have all the packaging and tags.
I figured that was going to start a shitstorm bringing up citizen again. My brother is getting me one for christmas so I am on a budget. From what I have read, they make a decent watch.
All I am going to say is if you are going to shoot down the idea of getting one, at least make your point by proving to me why something is better than a citizen. Simply stating your opinion just simply isn’t going to do good for anyone.
what’s the budget? Japanese quartz movements are shitty in general, at least get a swiss made watch with a decent reputation. ESQ,Tissot,Hamilton, etc…
$300 +/- My mom said she would kick in if I found one I really like, but I dont want to go too expensive. I like to have a wide variety of decent watches vs. a few really expensive watches, so I dont need to spend any more than that.
I would look into the brands I posted above. Amazon.com and overstock.com have some great deals.

And I found it for sub $500 a couple places but they sell it with a metal braclet. Is this company just taking the metal one off and replacing it with this band?
