Watch Crew: What to buy?

dude i was 99% of the way to a roulette dial and other shizzz… it’s a problem…lol

but seriously, having someone like Matt available for good work at a reasonable price makes this stuff more accessible. i wouldnt have done it if i needed to bring it to a local guy.

i think i’m done for a while at this point. just bought a new house.

*edit… practical reason for doing this is that you can instantly verify the Rolex movement inside the watch as a way to countering any notion of it being a fake. yes there are great fakes out there that replicate the movements as well but those are very rarer than the real thing anyways

Thanks for the kind words Bing, Glad I could help!

I think this belongs in the “all that is man” thread.

yeah that sig is SIQ

I’ve been wearing Rolex watches for years and have never had anyone accuse me of them being fakes, ever. (Not to mention, if someone can’t look at a Rolex and tell you if it’s real, having them look at the movement isn’t going to matter, as they are idiots) You’re right, there are great replicas that also replicate movements, they are worth about as much as a real one with an aftermarket crystal caseback installed, lol. <3

picked up a leather Zulu strap for the Hamilton

Very nice. I dig it on that watch. My arms are too dainty for a near 50mm looking case. What size is that?

45.4mm

Not bad…

I am not a watch nut like many of you guys, so I have to get that out of the way first… But I really enjoy this thread and looking at every ones pieces.

When I first met Xander he introduced me Tag Heuer as he had an older Tag at that time. Wanting to be just as cool I had to get one too. So once I started making some “decent money” as a kid, I treated myself to the Tag Kirium model seen below. I have worn that watch every day for 16 years; it looks like it has been through a war now, but amazingly the crystal is still major scratch free somehow.

Well after 16 years the watch is looking a bit outdated/small and it was time for something new. Having such good luck with my previous Tag I purchased another one as a Christmas present to myself. Once again another watch I feel I can wear with anything and wear every day, let’s hope this one too makes it just as long…

Carrera Day Date Calibre 16

Pretty sharp clock. I likey.
PS-you need a tan.

love the carrera…perfect for the pcar crew lol

I know, hard to get tan under the florescent lights in my office this time of year lol

A lot of them have panerai and rolex from what I see. I think the tag is on the lower end comparatively but still acceptable.

I meant because of this…

Werd, I’m a little slow sometimes… I was thinking more about the recent watch threads on 997 forums as a consensus.

Side note* I really hate when guys paint the “S” red for some reason, I think it cheapens it or something to me.

Good looking Tag. Nice pickup.

A Tag Carrera is a solid choice.

Shameless self glossing activated.

pics weren’t working on my phone of that Tag… that is the best watch Tag makes… always liked it and considered buying it when one was on sale at the local AD but it wasn’t dissimilar enough from my speedy… great choice.
