That park is awesome but don’t tell anyone, it is one of the best kept secrets around.
i had 2 complaints the whole time
park rangers were telling us to keep the noise down in the middle of the day, middle of the day kids screaming at the playground across from us and we have to keep it down lol
our site was mostly sun…woke up dying of heat sat/sun morning
So if they told you to keep it down during the day, will I get kicked out for being really loud and drunk at 1am?

oh fuck that chris, i think the times say it the best.
we got yelled at the first day at 10:30pm for being to loud, which we werent yelling or doing anything loud at all, we were in the open field pretty much so everyone could hear us.
the next morning, we got woken up by little kits screaming at the playground at 730am with some person playing a flute as loud as possible.
730pm we got yelled at again for being to loud… 730 and we are too loud, fuck man, im still making dinner at 730 when camping! lol
watkins glen state park is now for senior citizens. if you go to watkins glen to go camping, camp somewhere other than the state park.

Awesome pics, I live about 10 minutes from there and hit up the gorge at least a couple times a summer
definitely worth it if you ask me. you have watkins glen gorge, we have the niagara falls gorge.
totally different setup but both are amazing to visit over and over.
one of these days when i’m at watkins glen I’ll have to do something beyond being at the race track or heading into town for more gas and food.
