I can’t get excited about my tax dollars paying for medical care of poor people who blow themselves up/
of the fireworks i have… I can’t see anyone getting hurt with them. well hurt but never die from them…

The woman on the radio claims the injuries have dropped 90%. The radio people didn’t bother to ask her over what period of time. nice. She did mention that m80s cause most injuries and they are not legal anywhere. I would imagine “homemade” fireworks cause more serious injuries.
It works well legally and without issue in other countries.

I would love to see them legal on July 4th. What bugs me is fireworks going off for a week before and a month after the 4th. The cops are pretty cool about looking the other way on July 4th but people always have to be assholes and push it.
Throw in Memorial Day, Labor Day, and New Year’s Eve too.

I loved it going to visit my aunt in Cleveland every summer, being there in July setting off all kinds of fireworks and not worrying about fines or any BS.
i don’t really feel like reading this whole thread…but to the OP, you don’t care about jobs or the economy, you just want it to be easier/closer to get fireworks, so much in fact that you’re willing to pay more for them. It’s not hard to get them here at all, and cops will NOT harass you on the 4th of July. Make the drive and save yourself from getting raped by NYS.
if they legalized weed it would bring in a loooot more revenue then fireworks and this is coming from someone whos dad spends $10k on fireworks a year
