here at work they use barracude web filter… does anybody know how to overide it???

what do u mean proxy? it filters by categories… meaning like VH1 is blocked because its in the streaming media categories

I’m guessing any other attempts to bypass this filter, will be easily detected by the IT guy.
Remote Desktop to home… But they may have that blocked as well…
If you don’t want to blatently advertise you trying to go around it using the website i posted, setup a SSH tunnel to your PC at home and pipe all your traffic through that. Its encrypted and all your IT guy will see is SSH traffic to a random IP address.
Very troublesome, but probably your best bet if the proxy doesn’t work. I haven’t tested it out totally but Winamp has a “remote desktop” type feature. I think if you install it, then log in you can stream any sort of media from your home PC. I’ll have to test this out later.
