I am getting married april 9th 2011, we are having trouble finding a location just for the ceremony. Any ideas?It has to hold about 200+, we have called numerous places and all only held about 70 people and if they hold more you have to have the reception there.Any help would be greatly appreciated! have u tried fire halls, your local italian clubs-posts-lions clubs? catering halls. not sure what area your looking at for it to be held

They are probably booked, but give Avanti Mansion a shot. My wedding will be there next July.
Just go to McDonalds and order the Big McSteak.
Same thing as getting married, but much less expensive.

Beaver Island has a nice place; hold a decent amount as well from what I remember.

200+ people just for the ceremony other than a church is tough…Most outdoor places will accommodate 100 max…unless you go somewhere big like a park or beach or something like that…are you sure 200 people are going to show for the ceremony. Thats alot…most people flake out on the ceremony and attend the reception
It’s pretty much a church or something not nice. Are you both atheist or something? A church would save you some $$ as well.

It’s going to be all outdoors, both ceremony and reception.
And I just re-read the original post, I didn’t realize the OP was looking for a place to hold the ceremony only. You could still do Avanti but they’re probably a better option for a ceremony and reception combo or reception only place.
