Fun times last night :tup:
A few things, first it’s $100 not $90 as they add “tax” at the gate (they do this per-registration as well, and since tax is 13% looks like they don’t charge full tax at the gate.)
We got there super late. Maybe 7:30pm? I can’t remember exactly. There were a good amount of cars there (Tesla Model S, Viper, Ferrari 360, various Subarus, BMWs and more) but on the track it wasn’t busy.
There was no tech. There was no drivers meeting catchup either. I basically walked up to the guy with the flags and said “I’m here” and he asked if I had driven this track before. I asked what they were doing for passing (signals, point-bys) and he said "whatever you want, just pass in the two straights. Those “two straights” turned into anywhere really.
Some slow guy in a Z06 got mad that a bunch of guys he wasn’t letting pass decided to pass him in one of the turns, lol. He was no Xander!
So after unloading my car with the help of IanK I was on track in minutes. And even though we got there late, I made more laps than I can count. In fact I did so many laps in a row that I only went in when I started to feel sick, lol.
As for my car, I had Innovative install Hawk DTC 30 pads and bleed my brakes before going. Couldn’t be happier with the pads, although they really made the weak point of my car stand out… the tires. Damn I need better tires. I did go 4 wheels off at one point, spun, caught 2nd gear and kept going and into the pits to check everything. (I wasn’t flagged or even talked to by anyone after my spin.) No damage, just a lot of grass. I was back on track in a few minutes and didn’t have anymore “excitement” like that.
I was told they’d run to 9pm, but it seemed more like 9:30pm. Despite showing up late there was more than enough time to kick the crap out of my car & enjoy the track. :tup:

Sounds like fun but seems a little too lax in the running of it. When I hear things like, “I never really went through a safety meeting”, “I went 4 wheels off and no one said a thing” and “a bunch of guys passed a slow Z06 in the corners” it makes me hesitant to go up there with my daily driver.
And that’s your choice. It’s definitely more relaxed than when we ran Dunnville but I’ll definitely go up again. There only seemed to be a few people there who were not experienced and didn’t know track etiquette.
I’m down for this. When you going next?

That is what i was hopeing for. I thought the wording online was a little hardass for norm. I think the safety rules are important, and that is of some concern to me.
Ah, well no I drove it there. And unloaded it like I unload groceries 
And I’ve been trying for over a month to get people to go, you guys needs to say when you’re free & willing!
Any chance of doing one of the all day ones?
I don’t plan on it. My schedule is too busy to give an entire day to the track. I was perfectly fine with what I used this week, and don’t think I’d ever need more than 4.5h there.
But if you or someone else who does want to plan on going for a full day picks a date, I’m sure I’ll show up.
Alright guys, do you want me to just pick a Wednesday again and you guys can show up if you want? Or do you have any input on what date will work?
i am ordering sway bar bushings on friday. they should arrive before next wednesday. Thus, that wednesday is a possibility, or one of the two weeks following for me.
