Maybe this is old news to some of you guys but wow!
old news considering its on the front of Modified Mag this month.
sick car tho!! the motor is mounted 16 inches back from stock. 50/50 car!
whats more impressive is that the rad is in the trunk, the workmanship of this car is just unbeliveable. the way the firewall has been designed, the fact that the windshield actually opens outwards… just insane
this car is amazing.
windshield opens up to get full access to the car when the hood is open. and the hood is a clamshell, they melded the hood and front fenders and lights together into one big piece that’s hinged forward. the exhaust runs THROUGH the passenger compartment. since it’s RHD, the cat and piping run down the left side of the transmission tunnel and exit out a hole in side of the quarter panel, just underneath the quarter window. the rad is in the trunk, with a large section cut out to feed it, and the v-mount (since the engine is pushed back) is right in the middle of the hood, fed by a massive drop-vent hood. since the transmission is shifted back 16 inches but the driver isn’t, the shift KNOB is in the same place…but connected to it is an arm that’s connected 16 inches back to another linkage that goes down into the hole in the transmission, since it’s been moved back.
but that’s Weld for you. they are renowned across Japan for their crazy workmanship and attention to detail.
i took pics of this car in California,
i should dig them up.
im sure if nellys brother molded his front into a clamshell you’d cut him up pretty bad eh guys… ahahah im just playin, but its sort of true.
