I’m not buying a bike this year. I simply don’t have the $$ to do it. I’ll fix this over the winter, sell it in the spring, and consider my options then.

I learned this lesson the hard way also. Let someone who owns a 636 ride my r1. The r1 was parked in the street and he managed to slam it into the building across the street lol. Then he gave me his credit card. I maxed it out even with doing all the work myself and I let him go on the dinger in the gas tank (which still exists).

just log on to the old 600rr.net…since your bike is a little older, as is mine you can probably piece it back together for less than you think if your patient and look for good deals and low ball some people.

lol. sorry about your bike paulo… we can rebuild it… you can paint it a different color too… then maybe re-powder coat everything and have it be down for another half summer :-p… anyway… i think you should buy that 1krr… take out a loan for 6k… make the 110 dollar payments… fix your bike/sell it to your brother maybe/ or just wait till summer sell it for 5k and pay off the tiny loan that you assumed.

BTW, im no stranger to this… my ex g/f crashed my first bike, 3 days after buying it… I still let people ride my bikes, if i trust them. A bike is a bike is a bike… as long as they are ok, I dont care. Besides… the people I let ride my bike would pay to replace it assuming they ever did anything wrong.
To me, its worth letting other people share in the joy of motorcycles… Its a tough sale to go out and spend a ton of cash on a new hobby to only find out its not for you… id rather my friends find enjoyment in it and learn the proper techniques than go out and buy an “04 r1” (ehhem scott) and get hurt.
