Well, that was uncomfortable (Racist Radio Shack experience ITT)

So I went to el Shaque de Radio on my lunch to get a 6’ RCA->1/8" stereo jack adapter because I’ve been relying on FM radio for tunes…head unit stopped playing CD’s.

I walked into the store off of Balltown near State St., of course there’s only one guy working and he’s attending to some dude, he has the catalog out…I’m going to be here a while.

I come to terms with the fact that I’m pretty much on my own here, and set off on my search for just the right cable.

Luckily I’m not a total moron and find the cord without much difficulty, and proceed to the counter.

I approach the counter, noticing the obese african american woman who had entered the store during my search for the adapter. The patron who was being lead through the catalog by the lone employee looks up and sees us both waiting for him, and politely requests the employee to aid us while he mulls over his potential purchase.

The employee asks the man if he was sure, the man nods, and comes to…my aid.

The aforementioned black woman pipes up exclaiming the fact that she was next in line.

The employee says that I was next, as I was the next person in the store…

I stand there somewhat confused, as the woman WAS in the register line before I was. He knows this, I know this, she knows this…yet he persists.

I approach the counter not willing to let such an oppurtunity be passed up, all the while they are arguing over the semantics of a ‘line of service’.

Basically, that dude had something against that woman, and having said nothing to her prior to their argument over exactly who was next in this ‘line of service’, I can only come to the conclusion that he picked me because I’m white and she was brown. Sucks to be her I guess :rofl

She leaves with no service, too proud to stay in this obviously caucasian dominated electronics store. The employee getting louder and louder until he basically shouts ‘LEARN TO WAIT YOUR FUCKING TURN’ :rofl

After she left I was muted, just waiting for an N bomb which would never come.

I left the store confused, dissapointed, yet elated that I now had tunes of my choice.

As I left the employee was still carrying on about the woman and the situation.

A little too much for 11:30am on a Friday.

guilty of being white!

benny=trouble

All radio shack employees are racist, it’s a job requirement.

she saw your sig

fucking ****ers

haha, thats great. Fat black ladies are the worst too…

I have to say, benny tells the bestest stories.

Yes, I wrote “Bestest”

:rofl

That is awesome, i would have droped the N bomb when she left.

I could see turning them away most of the time but it was the first of the month so those people actually have money now and they might buy something.
