So I reached a point of my life where my STi was no longer allowing me to do my job without being really uncomfortable so I decided to make a lateral step and move into something a little more laid back. I saw the redesigned 2010 back in June and thought it was super hot and couldn’t believe it was an outback. At the time I didn’t think I would eventually buy one.
Anyway here it is
By the way it has paddle shifters so that must mean its super fast… I just haven’t found the turbo button yet.
Nice, I pick mine up in January… getting silver though because of the limited options with black interior. And LOL at the paddle shifters, seems kind of pointless on a DD like that, but whatever, I’ll try them.
dont bother with using the paddles! It shifts itself waaaaaaay before the redline. One thing i do like is if you are in auto mode you can bump the shifter and it will down shift if you need a little more giddy up. and yeah i would love black interior but oh well I will hopefully only need this for a few years. I LOVE that the roof rack lets you turn the bars across the roof so I can throw my ladder up there.

I thought the same thing about the roof rack… it’s nice to keep it closed and reduce the drag. What kind of mileage are you getting?
i like it a lot better, as time plays out, turbos cars just seem to fall apart
shopped for them, no roof rack = no ladder storeage plus I have been in a scooby for 5 years and I loved it.

looks like around 23… not amazing mileage but I’m not running 93 anymore and the sti was more around 15.

my city MPG never dropped below 18 until i went to florida and had to use the a/c every second i drove and the fact everyone drives crazy and speeds over there. I figured an STI would get better then 15mpg what was done to it?

Do NOT like the newest body style. Actually really like the style before that. Want a used 2.5XT (turbo) as my next car when my '96 kicks the bucket.
Based on the fact that both me and my wife drive Outback’s though, I do love the space and usefulness of them.
