Went to Tully's and came back with a car...

Hey Mr. Mingledinglor.

I have a chance to buy a full MSM suspension for $320…thoughts? Or just wait to get the V-Maxxs.

wait for V-maxx’s

coilovers or GTFO

Pretty much.
The msm miata suspension would be an improvement but not a huge one.
I know if you read the miata forum those idiots act like its night and day. I’ve drive one. It’s slightly firmer and a little lower.
My Flyin Miata springs were better and my Vmaxxs I liked better than those.

Edit. Holy shit English. Eh. I’m leaving it that way.

Fuck it.

Just bought the V-Maxxs. Looks like I’ll be drinking Genny Cream Ale for a few weeks.

Just ordered these from Good-Win…

And a quick photoshop of what they SHOULD look like…

Wasn’t the consensus gold?

I personally like the silver better…

Slam this thing and do donuts!

Silver looks sharp.

The bronze are back ordered for at least 4-5 months. So I ordered the silver, because I can always paint them.

how’s your boyfriend like it?

Aww a Miata joke!

I also just ordered a hard dog roll bar for this biznitch. Why?

Because fuck you.

more like Because cry poverty, lol

Booooo

…and you don’t have ~$200 bucks to finish your bike?

I don’t really have any desire to finish the bike. It’s not taking up any room in the garage. I could spend the $200 and finish it but then I have a motorcycle in my garage that I will never ride.

I’ll admit, after having my friends die on the 290 I have no desire to ride for the time being.

that’s why I sold mine and haven’t looked back once…

The entire point of riding vintage bikes is the utter lack of ability to asshat on them. That’s why I ditched the 2002 kawasaki I had and bought more vintage bikes. I NEVER use the thruway on them either…I figure worst case scenario is a more minor traffic mishap on local streets, most likely NOT resulting in my death. I think if you finished it in the spring and took a spin around the block on it, you’d find yourself desiring to ride it more. Especially in a group with a bunch of your best friends on other vintage bikes

not to mention it is pretty aggravating to see it sit in pieces after I contributed so much to it for (at this point) nothing.

how far from being finished with it are you?

Gaskets on the motor, finish the tail, electrical, tires, finish wheels, paint and side covers need to get mounted/finished.
