Got me thinking about my past cars

1977 Buick Century
1989 Firebird
199? Hyundai Elantra
199? Chevrolet Beretta
1984 Pontiac Bonneville
1998 Oldsmobile Bravada
1984 Honda Accord
199? Mazda 626
1996 Chevrolet Blazer
2001 Pontiac Firebird
2002 Pontiac TransAm(current)
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix
2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
2004 Pontiac GTO
2006 Chevrolet Colorado
2004 Pontiac Vibe
2006 Pontiac Torrent(current)
2004 Ford f150(current)

Dont really wish I had any of them now. Guess thats why I got rid of them.

Let’s see…

1986 Dodge Omni 2.2 5M
This car was a freak. It finally blew out catalytic converter and I placed a glasspack on it. It was the predecessor to the ricemobiles we see today! When revving it up past 5K RPM, it would backfire due to rich carbuerator tune and hollow gasoline vapor chamber that used to be a cat and would leave an 18" flame out the glasspack like a rally car…used to scare the shit out of people. Finally blew out a conrod, sold the shell for 300. Paid 600 for it and drove it for 3 years. This was a fun car that I would own again to beat the piss out of…

1987 Ford Ranger 2.3L 5M
It liked to donut at 40 MPH when there was unsuspecting ice patches on the road (4:11 & posi). 3 times ding’d in the passenger front corner, right behind the wheel and forward of the door, by various poles/trees/steel things. Met an untimely demise due to a very large tree. I wish I had this to haul trash at the current house.

1998 VW Jetta GLX VR6 2.8L 5M
First “brand new” car, it was really a nice ride for a college grad that just got his first real job. Met an untimely happenstance under a Pontiac Bonneville. He had 1200 damage, I had 7700 damage. not quite total…car was never “right” after that, so I traded it in on…if it was “right” I’d still be driving it (yes, that constitutes still wanting it).

2000 Ford F150 4.6L 5M
Great truck, until 36,900 miles when the diff carrier shatterred into 16 distinct pieces. Dealer replaced under warranty, luckily. was decent until about 66,000 miles when it started throwing coil packs left and right. Throwing caution to the wind, I commissioned a local mechanic to create and install the “deerslayer bumpers” and 3" body lift. Not knowing when to stop, we then installed 6" of suspension lift and 37" boggers…Got rid of it when I got fed up with the constant wheel bearing replacement. Yes, you can modify a vehicle too much, but it was good fun and if it were properly done (solid axle conversion) I’d probably still be driving it…

title to thread is **What car do you wish you owned again?? ***

Did that CRX come form RPM’S racing in bridgville? if so i was looking at buying it about 8 years ago

Dude…I think you take the trophy for the most vehicles - ever.

I’d like to have a few of the cars/trucks you had - I edited your list to my liking *=really like **=really, really like

hahaha…yep, i have had a bunch. Having had so damn many, it is pretty hard to narrow it down to say “This is the ONE car i wished i owned again.”
Obviously, like i said on my previous post, the 69 CJ Torino. I also wish i had my Nash Met again, just so i could sell it on ebay for way too much money:D .
Hindsight being 20/20, i wish i had kept most of the ones on the list you culled from mine…LOL

i narrowed it down for you to the impala(your first car) and the 69 camaro. well atleast for me anyhow those are my fav’s.

The problem with the 69 Camaro is that it was a 307 powerglide, and about 80% bondo…i bought it off the original owner in 1981, but it was a rustbucket. After a lot of amateur body work , a paint job, and some custom airbrush work by my wife, it looked pretty good. Someone made me an offer i couldnt refuse, and he HAD seen it when i first got it too!
I am going to have to try to dig up a pict of it and scan it.
