im looking for a car, has to be 4cyl and a 5 speed, i have 3000 dollars to spend, looking for opinions.
what are your future goals with the car, just drive it or eventually mod it? and whats your preference in cars, that will help you get an answer… but i say 91 nissan sentra SE-R.
i want something a little sporty, not looking for something along the lines of an echo, but a civic, or sentra, in that range, its mostly going to be used as a daily driver and eventually i might mod it
91-93 SENTRA SE-R.
240SX LOL, for 3K u cant get one w/ a sr20DET installed or a very very very nice 240 with a modded orginal motor. or early 90’s sentra se-r, or a Z31 (84-89) 300zx
my dad’s got a '98 civic coupe, 5 spd, new clutch, sunroof, fuckin incredible on gas, 140k
civic is the last thing i think of when i say sporty. then again i dont say early sentra se-r either, but i think these are better
whats so special about the early 90s sentras?
im talking daily driver sporty
light, nimble, SR-20DE, easy DET swap, not very common, 4 wheel disc, good chassis dynamics.
i never even thought to look at sentras
for 3,000 and you want semi sporty and 4 banger, its not a bad choice
:bowdown :bowdown, its the Nissan form of the civic, but better ;D
I’d get one. probably the best sleeper platform. civic has gotten over rated, and anything and every thing has been done to a civic
My 94 sentra, was Gunna paint, and get all se-r parts. but i had to sell b/c of the rust in the trunk and b/c it was a winter beater…i beat on it every day
i was also looking at golfs and miatas, so many choices
LS1 Miata.
lol, i was thinking a little ahead of myself on the miata, if i were to do a swap in a miata it would be a 5.0, already have an ls1
and if sean (91teg) chimes in, he can tell you how much i put that car through. i have it november 06 to march 07. 18K later it ran just as good as the day it was made. i drifted it everyday, almost rolled it drifting on purpose. had so much fun in that car.
buy my four door EK
theres a 98 jetta TDI for 3500 for sale iirc… i think 150k on it and 50mpg’s
