A more complicated question than it sounds i think.
I break it into two parts.
What cars are not yet available in North America but that are or may be coming that you’re interested in
Is there something previously thought unobtainable or that you have been planning for a while that you are considering pulling the trigger on?

I’ve been thinking a lot about what to move on from my supercharged M3 in to. The logical step is the newer M3 with bolt-ons.
However, is that RS6 coming over here ever? Because the RS7 doesn’t do it for me and i can’t think of another sport sedan that I would consider a viable replacement for my M3.
And as for the unobtanium… Lamborghini Huracans’ are breaking my heart every time i see one. Late model Gallardo’s are seeming like not a bad idea either.
There are so many recent, and not entirely unaffordable cars out there that you know are near maximum depreciation and may actually start going up soon… manual F430 / Gallardo spyders for one. Lots of old, hard to find BMW’s etc.
I’m looking forward to the new Mazda RX-9. But it’ll probably be more than I want to spend and not be practical for me anyways.
If I manage to not buy anything new for a year or two, I will probably buy an FD RX7 instead. I’m hoping that the impending availability of JDM FD’s will make it easier to find one that is reasonably priced.
Good thread…nothing coming out in the near future is anything I would buy, simply for the fact that I would not buy a new car…
But a realistic next car for me would be an '08-ish Aston Martin Vantage 6-speed…but I do not know if/when this will happen…trying to be responsible…would likely use the money to buy another building…
Stock I4 turbo motor, 164HP in the abarth, 160 in the base model. It’s really just a reskinned ND Miata. Developed by Mazda for Fiat, so you’ll see the same mods and what not that the current gen Miata will have too, just with more boost.
Pretty sure C&D just ran an article comparing the two. I know I read it recently.
I’ve been following R32 GT-R’s lately, scoping out importers and comparing their pricing. I know some people think it’s ridiculous but I’d still like to purchase one, possibly within a few years. Then again, I’ve owned absolutely nothing impressive with 4 wheels but haven’t given up on the game yet.
I will own a 458, supra and r34 gtr at some point in my future. That’s probably all I have my eye on for the foreseeable future. Maybe buy something in the 911, e46m3, fd rx7 area to go wild on a project with my dad and brother in the mean time but I’d say that’s it.
So many cool cars that are newer but the lack of a manual really kills it for me.
