Just snapped off the threaded part of the piston rod while tightening the shock into the housing. FML. Thank god I can send the assembly to Bilstein. They can replace the piston rod for like $75. Rebuildable struts for the win.
Replaced a caliper today so I can pass NYS inspection.
Stared at the muffler in my trunk, and the place where it snapped off the exhaust. Then used self-tapping screws to keep the half-broke heat shields out of the way of my new “cat-back” system. Fuck you too, Jetta.
Been busy today. Repaired an exhaust, replaced an Ebrake handle, two oil changes, but I suppose they weren’t on my cars.
