What do you guys do with your helmet?

lame.

if newman ever loses a limb, he can reengineer a better one.

It would just take him about 2 years to complete it like a certain bmw project…

i think im just going to pick up two of these, and just use them to lock my helmet to my passenger pegs… simple cheap

I’m sure there are 15 other threads which could use that

that’ll be no better than the underseat method… people just cut the straps… fyi.

If I were out on a Friday night and someone did something stupid and I saw their helmet sitting there, I’d piss in it. I think I’m just going to always keep mine with me.

for me, it was situational. i didn’t ever want to be that guy, but i’m also not content leaving a 500 dollar helmet laying around. at ecc, people left their shit on their bikes all the time. i’d usually leave my jacket on the seat and my helmet locked on the bike. at work i’d usually take it inside with me. you have a nice helmet alex, so i wouldn’t leave that shit laying around if you’re going to be away from the bike for a long time.

I carry my helmet and my jacket all day at school…Call me a poser, that guy all you want…That gear was expensive! Its not leaving my sight.

you can do that with anything fyi… unless you run a cable threw your helmet itself

i KNOW but that doesnt make that lock any less of a waste of money not to mention ONE more thing you have to carry on the bike

well there is no way to lock mine unless im doing something wrong… its just a fabric loop that hangs off the seat… aka you can just undo the strap of my helmet and walk away lol…

So get a cable and lock it up. Problem solved. You can get cable from Home Depot, crimp both ends and make your own.

EDIT - or you could buy a snowboard lock. The ones with retractable cables. Like the ones posted already. They are $12

r6 right? you’re doing it wrong… the d-link in the helmet hooks onto the underside of the seat or subframe (where the seat latches) and then the seat closes on top of it and the helmet is secured.

or… just put a little hook under there and have it welded to the subframe (in the trunk of te bike) it would do the same thing.

lol
