I think you should do a seat mod to turn it into a short overhang single seater. The 250 is a fun bike, it had its unique characteristics and I will miss mine.
Thanks, it was a lot of work. I considered shortening the seat but it’s a lot of labor, and I don’t have access to the tools needed. Changing the frame and seat just isn’t worth the hassle for me, I like it fine the way it is. What’d you do to your twofiddy, got another bike already?
You can make a lay over mold to cover the rear seat out of fiberglass.

I can’t believe I missed this thread.
Anyway, I started off on a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R 600. I put about 1000 miles on that before trading it for a TL-1000R. Completely disliked that bike, too heavy for me and wasn’t suiting my style. I grew up on dirtbikes, snowmobiles, ATV’s, you name it… so when my friend bought his first supermoto (WR-450) I fell in love and insisted on buying one.
So I now own a 2007 Husqvarna SMR 510. De-restricted, JD Jetting Kit, Azonic handlebars, GPR steering dampener, sliders all around, LED taillight/signal strip, relocated license plate, and I’m sure a thing or two I am still missing. :lol Bought with 1100 miles, now have around 4500.
Don’t mind the chickenstrip, that was when my rear tire had about 20 miles on it and I was just breaking it in around town. :lol
