What do you think about change the engine oil ?

Dearest everyone:
I am Bruce, I just have a question for everyone, all member’s cars are really beautiful, so where did you guys change the engine oil? Are you guys change it by yourself at home ? or give somebody to do it for you? or other…I really want to know
thank you for your help

Bruce

You might think it would save you a few bucks to do it yourself … but then you have to worry about disposing the oil etc …

It doesn’t really matter who does it … just bring it to someplace quick like mr. lube (whoever has a good coupon in the flyer heh) and get good quality oil. My dealership offers a pretty good price so I usually get it done there.

i do it myself in the driveway then put the used oil in the container and bring it to mr lube, they take used oil.

hey bruce,

yeah I change my oil at home too. I don’t let mechanics tuch my car
Just get yourself an oil filter wrench and an oil catch basine. Then you can change your oil at home all the time. All you will need is oil and an oil filter.

Good luck,

Andrew.

I do it myself too but if you don’t fell like doing it yourself take it to mr. lube
or minuet lube or like Sven said anywhere that has a good coupon in the
flyer and get it done there. It costs like $20 and will be done in like an hour.

These days, changing the oil yourself compared to getting some place like mr. lube to do it doesn’t have much difference in terms of saving money. The 30min you spend can be done doing something more productive.

I do it myself, mainly becuase I have acess to a hoist, and while I’m under I check everything and see if anything needs to be tweaked or replaced. Just make sure if someone else changes it for you that it’s topped up after and that the filter has been replaced.

If you bring it to CT make sure they put oil back in the car after you get your oil changed

I take it you had a bad experience with CT??

No, I work there and I know what goes on behing the sceens.

They actually arn’t bad guys there, they are just rushed.

Some guy did that at my CT too, if they change your tires make sure they torque your lugs too. It was funny when a Buick had its tire fall off
rolling out of the shop…
