What do you think of this.

Seems like something that can be useful, but not sure if it’ll even work.

I think it will work fine, this will be go for guys doing a cheap Ka-T

or you can jsut save yourself the hassle and make one for the 5 dollars in parts it takes, 5 leds , a few resitors and a stock knock sensor

^^^ you have info on how to do it?

search google. bro its not hard

well if someone finds it on google let me know… i did a quick look. Nothing really
maybe a data sheet on a sensor would be cool.

there is potential for it to be more then just a few resistors and LEDs

Here is some info guys. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0348/article.html

nice reads… the autospeed one seems great but no time to read it all right now…

where you just looking to add lights to a knock sensor already on the motor?
It could be as easy as a resistor and LED depending on the signals available on the car.

Or u mite need something a little more like an IC that looks for the frequency and then turns on an LED. Judging by what im seeing knock sensors output a sine wave. So you have to look for the specific frequency that can be calculated from the autospeed article and then when you see that, trigger an LED. The ebay one seems to have a POT (sensitivity adjustment) and i think that’s what you may need to use to fine tune it or make it work.

^^ im assuming a few things and im definitely not highly informed on the knock sensor system…
