When I was 17 in 2002, Dominic convinced me to get in on a groupbuy of the MSF course.
Growing up around vintage cars, I always heard stories of the vintage bikes my dad (ducati, wwII triumph, etc) and his friends had. Had an interest but never planned to get one.
Dominic convinced me, figured I’d get my license via MSF but not be concerned with getting a bike. I grew up in the middle of the city, I’d never even ridden a dirtbike at that point.
Day one on a motorcycle at MSF and I started motorcycle shopping as soon as I got home. Few weeks later my buddy from high school Doug Stephens, (who worked at Campus Wheelworks) introduced me to his buddy Ryan who worked at Rick’s Cycles and had a 94 Ninja 600r for sale. Bought it, fixed a few leaks, chain sprockets tires, tickkkleman brought over his vacuum gauge and helped me adjust the carbs, been loving motorcycles ever since.
Live a few doors from Essex St Pub, still see Ryan pretty frequently 11 years later
