Saw that they were moving to the Walker Center, and now that I see they are opened in there, that place is tiny. When I worked there, back in 2000-2003, that place needed all the space it could get. Now it looks like a mall kiosk. I also don’t think they will get the foot traffic in the new store like they did in the old one.
Also, does anyone know what is being built once they get the old building knocked down?
I guess it makes more sense as to why he unloaded the property, I’m sure he made a few million on it. I never saw any customers there anyhow, it always looked like they had employees cars parked out front to make it look busy.
Stereo advantage owns the walker center anyway so if they decide they need more space they can always add it. Will be cool to get a decent hotel in my neighborhood.
Mr Walker is slowly but SURELY booting EVERY tenant out of the Walker center. That’s his plan. The Pizza Plant’s lease is up in '13 or '14, I can’t remember what they told me. That will free up more room. I was inside Stereo Advantage 2 weeks ago, and it looks awful.
I feel so bad for the Pizza Plant owners. First, they got the boot from their Transit location so a Chipotle could go in, they then learned about 5 months later that they are being booted from Walker plaza.
Do they just have a little room with tv’s hung on the wall? I haven’t walked in there but I drove by today and it didn’t look impressive. Kind of sad looking actually.
When you first walk in there are 5 or 6 big screen tv’s with tiny little 5.1 setups in each. To the left are a bunch of desks where people are working. It looks and feels like an office cubicle in there.
Who wants to know a funny story about the Tony Walker name? The guy’s real name is Tony R****, he used Tony Walker anytime he signed into a sleezy motel to sleep around on his then wife. Dude is a total douchebag, his wife was fucking fantastic for her age, total milf imo
The turn around in that business is amazing. I’ve never seen so many people with such “cushy” jobs (atleast that’s what they want you to believe) that leave them all within a year or two.
They are wanting out of the personal electronics, which who can blame them? Commercial is where it’s at.
