what did it cost you to get your licence? I have been hearing areas of 5000-7000 by time you are done with everything.
:dunno:
Always wanted to get my licence but decided not to because of that (at least at this time)

the way it was explained to me you can spread it out somehow pretty easily.
my mom is pushing for me to take advantage of this after the talon is done…i’ll see if i can get more details in a couple weeks;
yeah its definitly worth it… i goto school professionally for it…best thing ive ever done, lots of fun and personal enjoyment and a great challange. if you need anything i have lots of books, advice, test guides and other things. i have the private,instrument,commercial,and multi engine ratings, even some glider time, and airbus 319/20/21 sim time. so if u need any help or any things ask anytime. btw i also bought coup d etat’s dsm so maybe we could help each other out haha.
Back when I was learning, I’d say it was probably $3000 for me to get mine, but mine was spread out over years and years because I couldn’t solo until I was 16. At any other airport around here it’s going to be more expensive, the rates have jumped up lately around here, mainly because of the cost of fuel. At McVille I believe it is $60 an hour for the 4 seat Cessna 172. Basically you can count on 20 hours solo at that rate, plus 20 hours of instruction at that rate + 20 or 25 (I’m not sure what the instructors charge now). Most people take longer than that, those are just the minimums. I’d recommend buying Flight Simulator and screw around in it, it tought me a lot.
yeah flight sim is def good for instrument training also and the basics. beaver aviation/pan am flight academy rates are 25 per hour for instructor and about 70 for a single engine aircraft. zelinople is about 50-70 depending on which single u get.
Yeah I have 3 of the flight simulators including the combat 3 one, Fly R/C planes which isn;t exactly the same but still give you an idea depending on what you are flying, and I have even got to play in a real simulator back when I was in high school and took a trip.
A lot of the guys I work with have their licences and own planes and a few of them have their own choppers.
i have ms flight sim 2003 :hs:
I got ms Flight sim 2002 pro, MS Combat Flight Sim 3, IL-2 forgotten battles
:hs:
Also got the force feed back whicch is nice. I’d like to get a set of rudder pedals though.
