There is a good chance I will be flying a plane back to the Burg on Friday to attend the airshow. If you see a T-6 that will be me. Anyone planning on going? Maybe a Pittspeed get together fri/sat nite in town?

I’ll be there… Hopefully our company gives away vip tickets again, since we sponser one of the teams. Last year our tent was right infront of the Blue Angels…too bad they will not be there is year :rant:
Same here…The runway is right at the end of my work’s parking lot. I am sure we can see them practice all week. Pretty aweosme stuff.

airport is a stone throw away. I get to watch the air show for days. The best part is when they fly by so low that it shakes our house

I remember watching it every year on the roof of my old hotel across the street then having spangler freak me out by calling my cell to say i see your eating and drinking food on the roof watching the planes !!! wtf

Hell yeah last year they flew directly over my work going about mach 80 billion and it shook the whole building…everyone thought something on the roof exploded. Fighter Jets dominate.
I wasn’t impressed last year with the blue angels. I hope the thunderchickens put on a good show this year. I saw them a few other times and every show was good. The best show I have ever seen was an airshow at Pensacola. It was nonstop, unlike the Pittsburgh show where we are forced to watch 300 different prop stunt planes do the same stuff as everyone else. I want jets all day, right at the speed of sound.

I’ve been to/worked many air shows and the thunderbirds seem to put on a better show, maybe since the F-16 is a more nimble aircraft and feels like the actions are closer to the audience, whereas the blue angles are faster and doing stuff further away. The best thing about last year’s air show was the C-130 that did a verticle take-off but it only happened on sat. so if you went on sunday you missed out. I also heard that they hoped to have fixed some of the parking and traffic nightmares that effected shows of the past years, but we can only wait and see if that happens…
I hope they get more shitters. I had to wait in line for at least 20 minutes to take a piss, and trying to tell a 4 year old that he has to hold it doesn’t always work. And my wife is 7 months pregnant now so she has to go every 4 minutes.
It seems to take longer for the Angels to get to the tricks. My kids almost fell asleep last year between stunts. The best thing about last years show was the c17 in reverse :slap:
