What is "NT Kernal System" and should I allow it access to my network

So I restarted my desktop and this message popped up

“NT Kernal system has changed since the last time you used it. This could happen if you have updated it recently. Click detail to see more information. Do you want to allow it access to the network?”

The I have the options (YES) (NO) (DETAILS)

I didnt update anything that I know of but maybe it was a update when restarting?

Anyone see this before?

Screen shot?

is there a path to a exe in the message?

Dont have a screen shot at the moment but it said

The executable has changed since the last time you used C: \Windows\system32
toskml.exe

Are you BSOD’ing at all?

Edit: Do you have SEP installed? If so, check out the green highlighted box: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/network-threat-protection-ntoskrnlexe-new
You will have to go into the “shield” icon that’s down by your system clock to access the exceptions area

Not sure what BSOD is…

I checked that link out and yea thats what the alert looks like

Blue Screen of Death.

Just select Yes. Symantec will make the exception for you. This is OK

Oh ok…no BSOD

So select yes…fingers crossed
