Not really, I think that by saying a photo or written (or music or painting) or anything copyrighted is worthless…now that is brainless.

And when anyone sells a photo, yes you have been paid for its usage but NOT its rights. That is still my property and always will be unless someone wants to pay large money for the entire rights. A photographer can resell it until their death and benefactors can afterwards.

Don’t beleive me? Try stealing an image from Getty or Corbis and see if you survive the legal assault.

If the site is generating revenue, which they are attempting to do…then yeah its a problem. They are making money off of your talent, why is that OK? Even if it was just a fanboi website, I still wouldn’t want anything I worked hard to produce associated with it cause I think it sucks.

Anyway, I should know better than to bring up copyright theft on here cause I won’t have many fans I’ll bet there are some ppl on here that have never bought a CD, DVD or software.

I never said anything about them being worthless. I said that comparing a stolen stereo to a copied photo is brainless.

I didn’t look at the site at all, so if they are selling your photos I stand corrected on that point.

I didn’t re-read his post but I don’t believe Sasha said anything about copying the photos being legal, he just said it doesn’t matter which is the point where I agree.

This is the internet, if you choose to post your work here - it’s going to get stolen if its any good. Take it as a compliment. Watermark your images and take advantage of the situation and get some free advertising out of it.
