Mirrorless is the future
Could elaborate on this? I’m a dummy when it comes to this stuff. I borrowed an SLR Fujifilm and have been playing around with that. I know that’s similar to these in the sense of learning how ISO, shutter speed, etc…all work and how they affect the picture itself.
A good read on it.
If I were starting over I’d give mirrorless serious consideration.
I don’t regret buying my E-M10 over a dSLR. The A6000 (and A7) is a wonderful camera, but lens selection is limited. Fuji has a fantastic product with the X-mount cameras and lenses, but the X-E2 is still an update away from being excellent (slow autofocus).
There’s no perfect camera.
A polaroid because it prints the pictures instantly.
An entry level DSLR will shit all over a phone for taking most pictures. At x-mas I set my girls DSLR up with no flash and auto everything else. She took about 400 pictures as fast as she could click the shutter. If she tried taking 400 pics with her phone her battery would have been dead. Phones are much slower for taking shot after shot, especially if they have to re-focus. You can’t even compare the optics even with a kit lens on the DSLR. I bought her a used Canon Rebel-whatever from my friend for $150. Money well spent IMO. Phones are great for taking a shot here and there but if you know you’ll be taking a bunch of photos get the real deal.
