What modern autos will someday be classics?

Yeah I can pretty much rebuild an entire Miata for like $6 Canadian lol, so beating the piss out of it and enjoying it is awesome.

You should keep the Miata and work towards your next car. I feel the first gen miata is only going to climb in price since everyone is racing and/or stancing them out and ruining them.

Yeah I just don’t have the room though. If I had a two car garage then it’s staying but I can’t fit a C5 and Miata in there :frowning:

Okay okay, I’m sorry you’re right about Japanese cars…lol

I’m at $1k / month to keep my m3 tip top.

So what you are saying is you have the wrong house or you need to build a bigger garage? Got it. hahaha That’s at least how I feel about mine.

It appears C6 Z06 and ZR1 prices have been steadily increasing 3% over that last 2 years.

It’s funny seeing that. A local person drifts his and is really damn good at it. Same colors but man do I love those fenders.

Took this 2 yrs ago.

UK only variant of RS, almost a modern day Cosworth Escort.

The choices encompass three main groups. First, niche vehicles ready for wider recognition, including the Honda S600 and S800, the Volkswagen Vanagon, the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80, and the early sandcast Honda CB750 motorcycles. Then, we have some (not quite) forgotten favorites ready for their comeback tours, including the Jaguar XK 120, Ferrari Testarossa, and the Ford GT. Finally, we showcase some newer cars that are accelerating out of their depreciation curves, namely the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Lexus LFA, Audi TT, and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

The TB SS was one of the main vehicles that got me into cars due to a supervisor owning one and letting me take it out on my own at 18! So naturally the Jeep SRT8 attracted me but when it came down to being able to actually afford one the WK2 generation was more enticing however it pushed the budget too far and I ended up not going that route.

@Onyx_Z32 I just got my Hagerty magazine yesterday and saw the GT was in there. That pretty much destroys any chance of me getting one unless bitcoin hits 2 million dollars. A normal one is now around 275-300k when the heritage model used to be that much (now 5-600k).

Salvage ones go for about 180.

We can all go in on one together lol

Damn.

The “quotes by generation” is interesting here as well, although it could be interpreted in many different ways.

Handful of vehicles I’d actually love to own on that list that were within my budget.
I’d love a Honda S600/800. My wife and I would definitely love a VW Vanagon for taveling.
I’d also love an old Land Cruiser as they are fantastic vehicles.

happy with what BMW M car values are doing right now.

Even my E90 gets a lot of attention and i get asked about it all the time.

Oddly enough, the TIRES on my truck seem to get more attention than anything. Random bros at gas stations, etc want to chat about them. Even my wife has said “oh another tire admirer” lol.
