Would a 92 camaro iroc or a 79 camaro be a cheaper car to purchase? What would have the cheaper parts? Thank you for your help
The 79 would be a 4 speed with a 350 in it z28.
thats a pretty vague statement… what kind of condition are you looking for etc is going to determine how much you pay for one
Ya sorry well either arent going to be in the best condition. Im looking for a faster car with a v8 in it.
You need one general thread… Anyways, I think you first need to do some homework on each of the generations, so far youve shown interest in 2nd gen, 3rd gen, and 4th gen.
Find out the +/- about each gen, check out LS1tech.com, and decide where you want to go from there…
Depending on aftermarket parts you want, these sites will give you some sort of clue:
www.jegs.com
www.jandjspeed.com
If you just jump into a car because of the price or way it looks, there is a good chance you might end up disappointed
do we need 90315982094375025 different threads about you purchasing a camaro?
It went from the 79 or 99, have people look for a LS1 fbod, to now a 79 or 92…
To answer your question, it depends on how much of your own work you can do. but one should be a gen I sbc and one should be a 305 (gen II???)
I think he’s realizing that he’ll never get $8k for his 944, so he won’t be able to afford an LS1 car.
Im sorry I recently found out that I need major surgery and I just need a car to get around in and I dont have enough money for the 4th generation because of it. I have been doing my research and I dont want to jump. I realize that the 79 would be a slower car when I first get it because of the emissions. The iroc had the most horse power but it only came with an automatic and Id rather get a manuel.
Naw Im asking 6 for it and some one is already is in the process of buying it. I siad that I was negociable with the price because I didnt want to post another ad. I was going for some where around 6 because all of the stuff that I did to the car was just last summer. I just dont really like the power with the porsche. Its more of a cruiser.
the 944 is a cruiser
I agree and I love it for that but I want some thing that I can drag during the summer and I dont want to beat up my car.
FYI i’ve noticed you misspelled NEGOTIABLE twice in 2 different threads already…it’s kind of annoying.
And have you done ANY HOMEWORK at ALL on any of these cars you’re looking to buy? It sounds like you have no clue what you’re talking about…and it’s tough to help you when we have no idea as to how much knowledge you have about all the generations you’re talking about, and it’s hard to be serious in trying to help you when you’re so vague in every statement you make and every question you ask.
ehh silly noobie… just buy a f body + Nitrous will equal fun at the track and you need to narrow your years down. I am looking for a few different cars but try searching craigslist. Tons of cars on there. Look all over PA, OH, MI, NJ. You may have to do a little driving to find something you like
I really think it would be easier for you to mod the 79 z28.You dont have any emmisions to worry about and parts are cheap.
someone is buying ur car for 6 grand?? :lolham:
try crazedlist.com.
i would get the 3rd gen. no doubt def. the 3rd gen. as a matter of fact, if you get the sec gen you will be a tool and i will forever pm you nasty things. like horse porn
theres a ls1 formula just posted up on here. asking $5900
thats not going to be too cheap or that good of a build, it has the 403 olds which isnt rev friendly, and parts arent cheap
Why is there so much hate for the 79 camaro?
