meh.
hard to say…
if the guy was standing there and obviously knew that the guy had Down’s, the little kid barely even moved when he was “kicked”, then the puncher probably overreacted… I mean, that’s borderline assault and was probably not justified. I mean, a compassionate person should really try to understand that a person with metal disabilities needs to be treated a little differently.
if the dude was just catching it all in one instant, and saw the dude “kick” his kid, then i guess i could see that reaction.
+1 I agree
Yea. I think the guy saw someone come over and kick his kid, so he went ahead and leveled him. It wasn’t a vicious mauling, It was 1 punch, albeit a good punch, but just 1 punch none the less.
The guy with downs didn’t really “look” that young either… so i think the father was just being protective of a strange guy going after his kid in a violent manner.
Unfortunate, but justified.
Justified. If he couldn’t identify that the guy had DS in an instant, then I would have done the same thing. All he saw was someone 5 times the size 10 times the age of his child kicking her.
It’s unfortunate, especially for the guy with DS. But maybe he’ll remember this next time…
You guys are assuming that he didn’t know.
It’s also possible he was standing there, watching the guy, thinking about how much he fucking hated 'tards, then saw him “attack” his kid and jumped.
he had a chip on his shoulder. When he was a youth, a special child ate his lunch money
god danm retards breathin all our normal peoples air, hurtin our children.
normal power!
I don’t think I would have punched him unless my kid started crying.
Hey, is that the NYSpeed buffet?
rofl
lol ATE
Who said anyone has to have compassion?
he’s on a cellphone, he’s obviously not that tarded out. I dont care if he was wearing a t-shirt that says “I have downs” the father acted appropriately.
man, just got a chance to watch it… nice connect  I don’t really blame the father, honestly. I’m sure he may have felt a little bad about it, but what do you expect when someone kicks your child?
edit: moonboots ftw
it seem as they just walked in the door possibly? the kid ran to the corner and the dad followed seeing the tard kick his kid he reacted before seeing the kid was a tard
It’s possible the father made the decision to punch the guy when he ran towards his kid. It’s not like the kid walked buy, and DS guy just kicked him. DS guy RAN at the kid and kicked him.
And maybe the fact the father didn’t keep punching him is significant?
needless to say, i would have done what the father did.
but, is it even the father? what if it was a random guy?
I would have done the same if it was my kid.
A few months ago I was picking her up from daycare and this 10 or 11 year old comes down the hall flipping out, punching the wall, kicking doors, screaming etc. Her daycare is attached to Summit School, which is a special needs school. The special needs kids are not supposed to even be allowed in the daycare section of the building though, even with their teachers (his teacher was following him trying to get him to calm down). As I’m standing there with my kid in one arm I had already made up my mind that if the kid came at me at all he was getting taken the fuck down.
Once you guys are parents you’ll understand how protective you get of your kids.
:word:
wouldve done the same…
i don’t even have kids (that i know of) and i completly understand, and would do they same.
plus, even if you did take him down, you wouldn’t have to worry about hitting his head and messing him up.
