Once when I worked at BK we would get a regular group of mentally challenged people that would come in. One week they had this kid with a hockey helmet on. He never said a word, never did anything. He would eat his food and just stair at the wall. All of the other “challenged” kids would like poke holes in his burger and he would just keep eating. Then out of no where one of the kids gives him a wet willy. The kid with the helmet knocked that motherfucker clean out of his shoes lol. I DIED at the counter laughing and got that “your an asshole” look from the people caring for them.

I don’t think they just walked in the door. He was holding a cup…im guessing refill. The kid seemed more or less shocked at being kicked/kicked at. Im sure the dad felt some what shitty after he realized the kid/guy had downs.

Yea. I think the guy saw someone come over and kick his kid, so he went ahead and leveled him. It wasn’t a vicious mauling, It was 1 punch, albeit a good punch, but just 1 punch none the less.
The guy with downs didn’t really “look” that young either… so i think the father was just being protective of a strange guy going after his kid in a violent manner.

agreed. I know that if I saw some random person hit my child, I would probably level them as well, though that was pretty overboard. The kid was not hurt, wasnt crying or even knocked down. I would have been like wtf are you doing?

My mother works at Clarence HS as an aid for an autistic girl. I personaly have also worked with autistic children, downs children etc. They dont know what they are doing becuase their higher executive thinking function part of their brain does not work correctly. So they can not think to themselves “hey it would be a bad idea to kick this toddler”. He probably saw the kid when he turned around going towards him, felt threatened becuase of his mental handicap, and kicked at him out of nervous reaction. Many of these children get very defensive around people they do not recognise.

one of my best friend’s (growing up) cousins had downs. i know a lot of it was out of his control, be he was a friggen brat 99% of the time. the fact that he had downs was NBD, but his demeanor made me want to kill a lamb
