What's in a build thread story of my 1989 Audi 200 Quattro

The car is a 1989 Audi 200 Quattro Sedan. Pearl white, 5-Speed, Grey Leather Interior,

I bought this car for a steal on ebay as the guy had it listed wrong and couldn’t spell for shit. I happened to come across it which was lucky because the spelling was so bad you couldn’t search for it if you wanted to find it. the price was so good it came with a rare set or optional Fuch’s Mag Audi Wheels worth the buying price.

I had my GLI at the time and planned on using this for a winter and on/off again daily. The car needed some service timing belt, head gasket, new sensor - The Works - for an old Quattro I call it.

I had a bitch of a time with a twist and broken CIS line with a replacement for a 10v turbo near impossible as all junk yards are lazy and cut and waste them as they pull the 10v turbo motors.

After that I had to bite the bullet and order the 034 Stage IIc EFI conversion and started that before getting side tracked and the car sat at a friends as a lawn ornament for almost 2 years.

I have been putting a lot of my little free time outside of the airport to working on this and getting it out of my garage to the dyno to tune the 034 EMS.

This is Jon’s way of expressing excitement that the car is coming back in soon to be finished(finally!!) We had some major holdups from 034 last fall and unfortunately I had to push this project aside to prepare the JP cars for this race season while 034 sat on their untimely ass and shipped parts on a LAZY time frame. Jon chose to utilize the 034 controller vs reworking the tired CIS system this car had.

HAH!, noooo. He’s just a few grand short and won’t ditch the AC. :lol I think he just wants a fun auto x/DD toy out of this one, which I don’t blame him after all the past hassles with his GLi and most recently, that damned DSM.

the dsm makes me giggle every time i pull in his driveway… and then when you ask him about it he just gets more and more pissed off… lol

The winter beater is way cooler than the summer car! :lol

034 has been slacking Jims shit is finally showing up today.

He told me that. They’re definitely not up on their A-game when it comes to processing and shipping orders, especially electronics.

Oh I figured that :lol. Jon needs to pay me for an HX80/K29 hybrid, my HC cam profile from CCC, and a destroked bottom end just to get the ball rolling onto that subject.

20valve parts and motor replacements to costly and hard to fine I have 2 spare 10v Turbos in my basement with total cost to own $200 for both. LOL. Cost of one 20v $2000plus each if you can find it.
