whats involved with a headgasket?

m ine blew this morning i think… blowing antifreeze out the motor where the head and block meet. nothing in oil though… so i dunno. used 2 jugs of antifreeze… on on the way to work… didnt know till i was in moon, and on on the way home… couldnt pay for a tow… car never over heated.

take everything off top of motor, take heads off, replace gasket, put everything back on. I did it in my sho once. It wasn’t hard but very time consuming(at least for me)

damm man if this is on the cobra your going ot hate it. youll have to remove your cams to remove the heads. if its like any other OHC ive done. its going to take you more time then a stand OHV motor

dodge spirtit 4 cyl

My sho was like that. it wasn’t that bad

just get a manual and mark down where everything goes. sharpie and masking take are your 2 best friends.

yea but ohc it put in wrong can do havoc. i learnd the hard way with a few bent valves

you need tools and gaskets to do a headgasket… thats what’s involved, tools and gaskets

gas & a match

a mechanic

only if you work on it in your garage!

hey hey i live above it!

:bigthumb: :asshole

quik doesnt know anything about changing his head gasket on the mustang
( he knows how to do it ) but never has :kekegay:

ive done OHC motors, but i havent done the stang yet

I wasnt implying you do not know how, I meant yours been needing changed since you bought it :boink

oh, fuck face :fart:. in time my son in time
