Dsmlink is pretty much a “flashable ecu”…I have seen that one on tuners before, but dsmlink is hands down the best tuning product for those cars.
2g of course.
i miss my 2Gb
i want to buy another one someday.
Ahhh, but you had a non turbo…so you didn’t even get to experience the real fun those cars can be!!
true, but i miss mine, still. ive gotten a buncha rides rides in other boosted ones. i liked the gsx a lot. i want a white one.
Its as simple as i owned a fwd-t laser.
NEVER AGAIN!.
3/S != DSM.
eSome people might hate you for that statement. :lol
couple guys on DSMtalk and 3si swear up and down that dsm is not equal or greater than 3kgt
It’s always the DSM guys saying that are equal too.
I never understood the validity given the huge differences.
Dsmtalk is a fucking joke…full of a bunch of high school idiots that don’t know shit. Tuners is good though…
As for a 3/s being a dsm…Im undecided…were they built in the same plant in normal, il? I kinda lean toward the side that they arn’t a dsm. I was always under the impression dsm was only applicable to the cars chrysler and mitsu made together…eclipse/talon/laser…but I could be wrong.
I am not sure how any one can even argue it. The definition is clear that it was a joint venture between Chrsyler/Mitsu and the cars were built in IL, USA.
3/S were built by Mitsu in Japan.
I heard that some people judge cars by the sticker. if it has a DSM sticker on the chassis from the factory, its a DSM. I guess you could go by that.
this is very true, there should be a silver dsm plaquard on the pas side firewall, eclipses talons lasers were built at the DSM plant in IL. some late 90’s galants were also built there too. I dont know if this was already said but Evo’s 3kgt’s Stealth’s are NOT dsm’s. Neither are galant vr4s (either generations 4g63/ttv6) although, the whole reason they were brought here was to test the market for a awd turbo car. and i dare say that the gvr4 is the most iconic 4g63/awd car mitsu made. it layed the ground work for the evo1 and our t/e/l’s
+1, sorry , didnt read the link ha
No plaque on 3S. Galant VR-4 I thought was a 4cyc? Typo?
I was ify about a GVR-4 being a DSM or not. I forgot how the DSM world identified that car as.
I think technically the only cars that are really dsm’s are the 90-94 eclipse talon and lasers.
Sry, i didnt mean it to sound like that the 3S had the plaques. The 1991 and 1992 gvr4’s were awd 4g63’s, but in japan they have 2.7l tt v6’s in later body galants.
No, you didn’t. You made a statement and I just replied that they don’t. Trying to make sure people realize it’s not a DSM.
Agreed. 2gs got mixed up with a retarded chrysler engine and it was all down hill from there.I have a 6 bolt 4g63 and the dsm plaques so I call it a dsm
ok cool lol
