PITTSBURGH – Parts of the Parkway West that stretch from Pittsburgh International Airport to Downtown will be closed over four weekends for a paving project.
The westbound lanes between Interstate 79 and the Route 22/30 interchange are being resurfaced. Work will be done between 11 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday.
PennDOT said drivers headed outbound on the parkway toward Pittsburgh International Airport/Weirton should take the following detour:
Follow Interstate 279 to Interstate 79 North toward Erie.
Exit on Route 60A North-Crafton.
Turn left at the stop light onto Steubenville Pike (Route 60 North) for approximately 4 miles.
Follow signs to airport (Route 60 North) or Route 22/30 Weirton
