Where can metal 2.5" 2 bolt exhaust gaskets be purchased?

I keep blowing out those cheap pile of shit paper gaskets that go between my catback and downpipe every time I no-lift-shift. It’s fucking annoying. The only problem is I can’t seem to locate one that’s made of metal.

Any ideas? Tried napa, advance, etc. and they all have the generic felt/paper one that melts/falls apart after 250 miles.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I’ve seen 2-bolt metal gaskets at advance, but in the V8 performance section.

This is the one that keeps failing:

The steel ring part holds up, but the rest of the piece of SHIT just melts everytime a flame comes thundering down the pipe.

srs? I’m about 5 minutes from Latham Advance, I might swing by if they have it.

Yeah SRS

ive seen them at advance too

i feel every ounce of pain in this thread

Try to find a copper gasket if you can, they last very well from personal experience.

Run nothing, or worst case, make one. Sheet of copper, lay the old one on it (pre explosion), trace, etc

nope i’m dumb.

a 2006 saturn Vue with the V6 (honda motor) has a 2 bolt, 2.5" exhaust flange for the connection between the left and right side of the headers

i know this only cause thats what i used for all of my gaskets

Give old one to guy at Advance, tell him to walk his overweight, rude, and hairy self to the back and find one that matches.

DING DING DING!

Clean both surfaces very well and put them together with no gasket but a thin bead of copper RTV. Worked for my GTP. The copper gasket would be the better choice tho. Im also having this problem with my daily. Its a pain in the nuts!

I did this before. Several times. And each time it blew out within 1000 miles. :banghead

The problem is I have the softest motor mounts known to man, so anytime I shift a little harder than normal the engine slams around like PJB and a goat in the bedroom together

not ture… i’ve got the full bwoody mount kit and mine still blow, i need a new flex pipe too

Update: Two bolt flanges just SUCK COCK in general. :lol

Hear that! You must have v8 powa! :lol

I told u this SS is no joke

My GTP was eventually converted to a 3 bolt 3" Header flange with copper gaskets. Get a competent welder to weld one up for ya. use locking nuts and not the kind with plastic in them…

The metal gaskets work with lock washers on the bolts. I had a metal one on there but I think it got scrapped when Synapse made the new piping.
