Wanli, or some shit like that is cheap.
Federal
General Tire
Just shop around Avery, there are tones of cheap ($80-120/tire) brands out there.
no one could beat my tire prices, i get dealer prices on everything from my dads friend, but i dont get tires for people too much of a hassel
cheap thrills in milton
how about a thread about WHERE is the best place to get tires. Price wise and post up the name of the company, contact # and a price as an example.
i was about to post up something like this today but might as well have it here.
this would help A LOT of us especially for the upcoming season.
^^ i’ll call cheap thrills on the weekday.
tires23 has decent pricing becasue they include mounting and balancing
id be surprised if people can top their prices by a decent amount.
yeah cheap thrills is definitly a good place to go to. i went in there hes like $200 for a set of 5 spokes that will fit ur 240 with good tires. Bring cash cause thats all that goes through that place! cash and drugs haha!!
the owner had 28inch rims on his H2 2 years ago lol’s
General Exclaim UHP… good, cheap tire.
^^ how come it says M+S on the sidewalls then?
M+S means all seasoners btw
avery, i would go with federal. people may say that other tires grip just as well, but not sure if tehy would be using it in the same application as yourself (rears to drift on). when choosing a rear tire, you want the tire not to belt or chunk or be slippery/greasy (like the es100s).
drifters love the federal and everyone knows that. approx 530$ for a set of 225/45/17 mounted and balanced at tires23. but i would suggest to wait for the special, and grab like 3 sets.
pay a lil bit more but have ur tires last 2x longer.
i will try other cheaper sets to see how long they last but ill keep trying federal for sure. i ran the wrong psi and it ate my tires like no tmw.
tire pressure saves tires, as long as its set right.
oh and these are the tires that you would be interested in
federal
nexen N3000

^^ ya 711 are good
i will try them when i get a chance
i want to try the direzzas, fairly cheap tire with good grip.
lol, I m sticking with stock tires from a used car place, ahaha, ain’t a tyte drifter like you guys.
Here’s my take on a few different brands.
the good:
Dunlop SP8000’s -great tires, very predictable and long lasting (won my first competition in '06 on a pair)
Toyo FZ4’s -long lasting, not as much grip as the 8000’s but still very predictable
Toyo TPT’s -long lasting and predictable too, but less grippy than the FZ4’s, good for NA drifters.
not so good:
Yokohama es100’s -pretty grippy on the street, but they chunk away waaay too soon. leaving you with half a good tire.
Yokohama Advan 032’s -You’d be nuts to buy these for drift, but I had a new set so I went nuts on the old ones. They will wear farther than the es100’s but still fly apart too soon.
Michelin Pilot Sport’s -These are a nice grippy tire, but they just kinda flake away. they do not last long at all.
This year I’ll be sorting through tire dealers to find some Toyo T1S’s that they want to get rid of. Thinking they might be pretty good.
Heres a local hero, tires23
Someone should try these tires. Seems like good prices to me
