I am looking for a threaded coupler with a 12x1.25 thread pitch, about 4 inches or so long. I have tried searching online, but have not had any good luck. Maybe I am not calling it the right name? Anything locally? I know Home Depot has some, but nothing metric (what else is new).
McMaster Carr sells everything on the planet.
Locally - maybe Fastenal

EDIT - damn it, beat me to it. lol

Ferry Hydraulic on Walden
They either have it, or will make it (while you wait).
edit - http://www.ferryinc.com/
That just makes me want to call them:
“um, hi…I’m looking for a couple nut? Do you have a couple nut? I need at least a 4 incher…”
M12 x 1.25?
Try searching for extension nuts, although I’m not sure about finding one 4" long.
If you go to www.mcmaster.com you can search for threaded coupler and find what I’m thinking you’re talking about, but nothing in M12x1.25 if that’s really what you’re looking for.
You need something that is female on both sides, and is M12 1.25?
Would it happen to be a turnbuckle?
no, it’s for a shift rod extension
?
Just do it like cheap shift knobs; sleeve with a set screw.:bloated:
(Don’t really do that)
sleeve + jb weld
Yeah Fry, that’s what I am looking for. I am on mcmaster’s site, but the don’t seem to list an M12 with the right pitch.
As for the JBWeld -I want it to be adjustable until I figure out exactly the way I want it. Plus, I don’t drive a honda anymore, so I am trying to stay away from fixing things with JBWeld.
tee he he
you try dibbles true value in hamburg? they have all kinds of hardware and although the old men that work there are grumpy, they can find what you need in no time
Come to think of it, when I made Audi shift knobs the thread was funky, it was somewhere between course and fine. gay
then you’re right on, its a coupler.
as its been said before, dont waste ur time go to ferry on walden
I might be able to get away with using an extended open ended lug nut… anyone have just one they don’t need? 12x1.25 of course…
North state supply on military or elmwood (i cant recall) in kenmore has an amazing selection of nuts/bolts/couplers/castle nuts etc…
